I provide individual psychotherapy for adolescents and adults, and also conduct couple therapy and two psychoeducational groups (Men’s Group and Dating & Relationship Group). My primary office is located in Newport Beach (Fashion Island area). Romantic relationship difficulties (including marital conflict, separation, and divorce), chronic self-sabotaging patterns, low self-esteem/codependency, sexual compulsivity, adolescent development, and parent-teen conflict are my main areas of expertise.

My clinical interest is in how the human mind creates situations, patterns, and relational experiences without conscious awareness. The mind organizes around these habitual ways of being that serve one purpose, yet compromise other aspects of life. In therapy, patients gain awareness of their counter-productive tendencies, thus creating the potential for transformation and change.

My therapeutic approach is geared toward providing a comfortable, supportive space in which my observations and inquiries about the patient’s experience help promote a greater degree of self-observation on the part of the patient; the origin and way out of the patient’s problems emerge through this dialogue.
